A Guide to Personal Bible Study and Group Sharing
The Sabbath School Personal Bible Study Guide is prepared by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Churches. The lessons are written under the direction of an international committee responsible for evaluating the manuscripts prepared by the authors. The Sabbath School committee members serve as advisors. Because the Guide also reflects their input, it does not represent the author's or authors' views exclusively and in every detail.
What is Sabbath School?
The Sabbath School of the Adventist Church it is an educational and spiritual institution Held every Saturday before the main worship service, it is designed as a time of Bible study, spiritual growth, and community for church members of all ages. Sabbath School is divided into several classes, each tailored to specific age groups, from children to adults, allowing for learning and discussion appropriate to every stage of life.
The meeting typically begins with a plenary session, which may include songs, prayers, and presentations on various topics, followed by an hour of study in small groups or classes. The heart of Sabbath School is Bible study through quarterly lessons, which systematically cover different biblical books and themes. These lessons are prepared by scholars and religious leaders and are used globally, ensuring consistent theological coherence and depth.

It fosters strong community bonds, offering an environment where members can share experiences of faith, pray together, and support one another through the challenges of daily life.
